With the fast development of the Internet and Various types of services widely deployed in the network, the reliability of backbone network(HA: High Availability) has become the focus of attention. Because of the various types of failure can not be avoided completely in the network, most of today’s high availability technologies focused on make a quick fix from a network failure. At present, there are mainly three kinds of high availability technology: NSF(Non-Stop Forwarding), GR(Graceful Restart) and NSR(Non-Stop Routing). NSR is the most reliable technology in these three techniques. The shortest path bridge as a further extension of the spanning tree protocol is aimed at building a large flat non-blocking network on the data-link level, meet the needs of cloud computing data center network. This subject comes from a project named "SPB module support NSR feature" from a network company. The project provided high reliability in SPB network by using NSR technology. This paper described the implementation plan and process of NSR based on SPB protocol at chapter four after introduces the SPB agreement and the high availability technology briefly. Firstly, introduced the interaction between SPB module and HA module, the three sub-modules which achieve NSR feature, the date type need to be backed up,real-time backup and batch backup and the implementation of data backup and storage processing. Then describe the upgrading process of the SPB process in detail. Finally, tests the NSR feature by switch and testcenter. The test results demonstrate that the influence caused by equipment failure could be eliminated through NSR, avoid traffic interruption.
