China Construction Bank is one of the state-owned shareholding commercial bank, the world fifth in the listed Banks. With the rapid development of the business which has a great dynamics rely on IT technology. According to the statistics, the number of servers is doubling every five years, the storage quantity doubling every year, IT infrastructure complexity increased rapidly. The application of tracking, maintenance and upgrade increases sharply, the public pay more and more attention to the service quality of banking system. The IT competition for the fierce competition in the financial industry, it has played a key role. How to improve the core competitiveness of the Construction Bank, how to improve the quality of IT service, Bank Information Technology Department of construction under the data center how to face severe challenges.Data center undertakes technical operation maintenance, global technical operation management, infrastructure planning and construction of the related system of the headquarters, as well as the headquarters of the department of technical services and support.the operation maintenance technology. Although IT department task is heavy, pressure is great, but IT department is still difficult to satisfy business department. In order to solve the problems, it’s necessary for data centers to use ITIL theory to improve the quality of IT services. In 2007 data center implemented the construction of the IT service management platform project driven by ITIL. The best practice library of ITIL(Information Technology Infrastructure Library) service management originates from the British government’s guide in the field of IT services, which now has become a widely adopted industry standard for the implementation of the IT service management. Learning from the advanced operating experience and the standard of the international large financial industry data center, combining with the characteristics of business and management of the Construction Bank of China, the construction and implementation of process management platform proceeded in the data center and 38 branches. The platform has achieved the event management, problem management, change management, service desk module, standardized the related processes 、 roles and activities mainly. My article mainly aims at the research of event management and problem management.Event management ensures that after the event, you can get a quick and efficient solution, and make the branch and the relevant departments of the business can be resumed as soon as possible. Problem management, which is the key to seek causes the primitive of abnormal events, can develop appropriate measures to stop the event from the source. Combining with the six sigma promotion, it has solved the safe operation and maintenance problems which troubled the data center for a long time, made the channels of communication between related departments become more convenient and smooth, the process for reflecting problems and solving problems become more clear and standard. It improve the efficiency of the reflecting and solving problems, facilitates the managers and the users at all levels to login system to supervise and get to know the status of the problem solving at any time, so it also improve the system availability, security, and sustainability, and improve the operational service levels.This paper uses the approach of case interpretation and model analysis, proposes some preliminary opinions based on ITIL to optimize data center operation maintenance process. It has a reference value of data center in China for implementation of ITIL, especially for the data center of commercial banks.
