| At present there is a growing trend to develop application system by using Web. With the increasing demand for online application system, management information system of enterprises, e-commerce and e-government affairs, the application of Web technology is becoming more widely used. The author of this thesis works in Qingyuan Vocational Technical Institute whose admissions web site has been used up to now since it was developed in 2006. And on the website there are many aspects which can hardly satisfy the present increasing requirements for students recruitment work, for example, the content organization, interaction design, and function realization. This results in that some work in many links has to be intervened with manual work, and that summaries and accumulations on done work are hard to draw, which bring the school’s students recruitment work more workload and difficulties. The main content of this thesis is the development process of admissions web site according with the students recruitment requirements of Qingyuan Vocational Technical Institute. This thesis also talks about what is needed in new admissions web site, for instance, the favorable interactive mode and interface for users, the clear-structured overall arrangement and design of content, and the complete and reasonable referral information system and online reference services function.The new admissions web site will use the idea of accumulating knowledge to design and realize the interactive function among users. Every question and answer clause occured on the website will be accumulated as knowledge point. Users visting the website can solve his questions on students recruitment by searching the previous question and answer clauses, so that the manpower and material resources which website workers have to take to artificially answer examinees’ questions will be decresed and the their work efficiency will be improved. In designing the users’ interactive interface on foreground of the website, the author uses the main design thought of guiding requirements rather than the way of releasing and reading. The way pages shift and the content presented on pages in the process of users interaction are designed and arranged from examinees’ point, which can step by step guide students to know the content for students recruitment and help students avoid aimlessly looking through the website without solving questions in their mind as well as lower the frequency and intensity of manual consultation service.The new admissions web site adopts B/S framework. According to the number of concurrent users and the intensity of data query in previous years and functions of the new website, the website uses Jsp as its development language and adopts well-expanded and open-resource PostgreSQL as its database software to realise a rational control to data and reduce the development cost by considering users’ needs. |
