In recent years, with the deepe ning of higher education reforms, the financial expenditure of university laboratory construction continue to increase, which leads the number of laboratories and experimental equipments are also increasing. How to monitor and manage these equipments scientifically and scientifically becomes very important. According to the exciting concrete conditions of experimental equipments, this paper designs and realizes a laboratory equipments running monitoring system based on wireless sensor network, and this system can make managements realize a remote and real-time monitoring of running status of laboratory equipments.The whole monitoring system realizes the formation of the wireless sensor network by constructing the star topology of ZigBee network. The system consists of sensor node, sink node and management node. The sensor node is deployed in the monitoring areas, and it uses CC2530 as the control chip and adopts current transformer and peak detection circuit to obtain the current peak flowing through laboratory equipment, and it judges the running status of laboratory equipments by comparing the peak current and the threshold, and the running status with the current time and equipment information are sent to the sink node through the ZigBee wireless network; the sink node is composed of ZigBee module and embedded development board, ZigBee module is used to gather data from sensor nodes and sends the data to the embedded development board through the serial port, after the embedded development board receive the datas, it sends the datas to management node using TCP protocol data through the campus network, and realize the connection of wireless sensor network and Ethernet; the management node is composed of server module and monitoring platform, the server program is written in Java language to receive and save datas from the sink nodes, the monitoring platform uses Java Web technology to develop the monitoring system of laboratory equipments running status and obtains the running status of equipments from the database of the server module by JDBC technology, and the laboratory manager can realize the remote monitoring of laboratory equipment running state.Firstly,this paper analysis the demanding of this system, and put forward a design scheme of laboratory equipments running status monitoring system based on Wireless Sensor Network according to the analysis result, then designs and realizes the hardware of the system, and on this basis, complete the development of system software.Through the combination of the hardware and software, the remote monitoring of the running status of the equipments is realized, and this improves the level of the laboratory equipment effectively.After the on-line test, the system runs normally and realizes the function of the design, and has the higher application value.
