Study On Ethical Issues Of Personal Information Safety In Network Society

The progress of modernization of social formation has been accelerated by the formation and development of the network society. With the development of information technology and the coming of big data era, easier information exchange is achieved; in the meanwhile, the subversion of information exchange pattern and the sharing of information resources, which are resulted from cloud storage, also create shortcuts to network life. However, unceasing hacker attack, virus invasion and threats to information security make people realize that science is a powerful tool; but it depends on the human beings who are using the tool other than the tool itself that what will be brought to human world, happiness or disaster. The degeneracy of ethical ideology is positively related to the pace of the development of network society.The features of network society and issues lead to the emergence of foreignization are examined in this study. This paper takes the development of network society as an a xis, presents a clear framework of the emergence and evolution of security and ethical issu es in the network society and gives a deep analysis on information security issues involve d, thus specifically classifying issues that exist in modern network society such as informa tion pollution, information loss, information breach and information invasion; deeply anal yzing the causes of these issues with the consideration of features of network and current s ocial conditions of China. The aim of this study is to demonstrate ethical difficulties regar ding personal information security. Ethical principles that are applicable to network su bjects are analyzed and systemized in this study and then a series of principles aim at r ecovering network users’ consciousness are established, which are principles of equalit y, compatibility, mutual benefit and respect. This study puts forward a range of strategies f or recreating network society order and enabling the return of humanity from levels of the ory, reality and practical details.By starting with examining the practical issues exist in the network society, this study reveals the nature of these issues and proposes solutions with the consideration of China’s specific conditions. In the present study, in depth analysis on ethical issues regarding personal information security in network society is conducted through methods of literature study, empirical study, causal analysis, comparative research and interdisciplinary research.
