Feature Extraction Based Image Retrieval (FEIR)

My main objective for this research is to describe the study and solution of the problem of the design object based image search Feature Extraction Based Image Retrieval, FEIR system. It outlines the problem, the proposed solution, the final solution and achievements. Because of the huge increase in image database sizes, as well as its wide adoption in various applications, the need for the development of spruce stood up. In my report describes the typical geometric features of the image; the color, shape and texture. These characteristics are extracted and used as the basis for checking the similarity between images. Different algorithms used for calculating similarity between the extracted features, then explained. My final result was in MATLAB built software application, with an image database that was used texture and color characteristics of the image in the database as a base for comparison and search. The final design of the software application is illustrated. In addition, the results of the work accompanied by a detailed example[1].
