With the development of internet of things(Io T) and Intelligent manufacturing, position-based manufacturing mode was becoming more and more popular. Especially in discrete manufacturing logistics, the material distribution mode based on real-time locating system(RTLS) is able to effectively solve the problem of flexibility deficiency and poor supervision in traditional distribution mode. Aiming at the exsiting deficiency in material distribution of discrete manufacturing workshop, this article studied the RTLS-based material distribution system. The main work is as follows:Firstly, combining with the requirements analysis of RTLS-based material distribution system in discrete manufacturing workshop, this paper put forward the system framework, physical structure and data model of material distribution system. Then considering the integration with upper management system of discrete manufacturing, this paper introduced the functions structure and operation process of RTLS-based material distribution system.Secondly, after analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of existing various RTLS technology, this paper constructed an RTLS platform integrated RFID with UWB technology, which realized the positioning purpose that combined area locating with accurate locating method; Besides, this paper developed RTLS-based digital workshop map, and expounded software architecture, implementation steps and the data model of digital workshop map, which implemented the 3D visual monitoring in management system for various factors of production in workshop.Thirdly, according to the shortages of existing material distribution vehicles in discrete manufacturing workshop, this paper designed function structure of RTLS-based intelligent material distribution vehicles with global path planning algorithm and local multi-sensor fusion algorithm; For multi-vehicle scheduling, the scheduling model of intelligent vehicles were built under the constraints of workstations, and simulated utilizing genetic algorithm(GA) algorithm, which realized optimization of material distribution scheduling under the double constraints of workstation and path.Based on research results above, this paper developed RTLS-based prototype system of material distribution, and introduced the function realizing of digital workshop map and material distribution prototype system.
