Video encryption is a mature technology in the field of video security. However, as for this field, in order to fit the requirement of ever-increasing video capacity and deal with variety of attack techniques, it will still be an urgent issue for increasing video encryption’s speed and level of safety.This dissertation mainly focus on optimize video encryption’s speed and level of safety, designingencryption circuit boardbased on ARM to encrypt and decrypt videos can reach this target.This subject choose ARM series microprocessor and encryption chip as system hardware, which is popular these years. Encryption chips are fast and safe during its encryption process. Because the encryption chips focus on encryption speed and its safety, so the speed and level of safety are highly guaranteed, which is better than general computer software encryption. Software part is in the PC and encryption circuit boardbased on ARM to implement USB video transmission, and encryption circuit boards based on ARM which has been burned with a encryption program to implement the encrypted video. Finally, we use PC to decrypt the video, then complete playing the video.This thesis introduces the current status of video security and the development of video encryption; illustrate further development of hardware cryptsystems, which contain encryption chips. Afterwards, introducing the characteristics of CPU, the advantages of USB interface and hardware characteristics of encryption chips. Based on those things, hardware circuit has been designed. The dissertation focus on the realization of hardware circuit, and then compare the safety and practicability of encryption algorithm, prove the encryption speed of encryption circuit boardbased on ARM is higher than PC, introduce the realization of software design in detail. Finally, the thesis achieve the goal which been held in this article, and test the function of the wholesystem.
