With scheduling managed efficiently and scientifically, project progress can be managed and controlled effectively, and be adjusted and optimized just in time, to achieve the goal of decreasing the costs, shortening the time, and reducing the risk.With information technology developing fast, the development team is growing larger and the scale of software is getting bigger. One man to complete the whole project can no longer meet the requirements. Every development team needs urgently to solve this subject:How to manage such a large Project of Software Development. As our software development industry started late, most of our software companies don’t form their own pattern of software management. Their management level can’t match that of international companies. In Project Management of Software, Project Scheduling and controlling is the key point. How to use the knowledge of scheduling management properly and combine it with our software companies’ actual situation to bring out a best suitable pattern of our own becomes a subject that we need to solve urgently.This paper focus on a specific project—MES-HR in Kaifa Technology Company, Ltd. It lists several main methods of Project Scheduling Management, which are used more often in many projects, and uses Milestone, WBS, Gantt Chart in combine in this project. It describes how to integrate theory with practice, and finally guarantee the project finished within the schedule.The innovation part of this paper is to sum up a method for Project Scheduling Management in Software Development using a specific project, which can be used in our country widely.
