In view of the weakness of existing networks in the resource utilization, energy consumption, network security and expansion, Beijing Jiaotong University National Engineering Laboratory for Next Generation Internet Technologies came up with the Smart Cooperative Network to realize resources’dynamic adaptation.In recent years, with the increasing requirement of network management, more and more network managers and researchers are paying attention to state awareness and management of network. In Smart Cooperative Network, for fully matching upper service requirement and lower network resources, realizing resources’dynamic adaptation and scheduling, state awareness and management of network are in demand more urgently. On the one hand, when new service requests arrival, network can choose reasonable components to provide smart services, according to the state of components; on the other hand, when the network status changes, network can dynamically adjust components’behaviors timely, to ensure the optimal network performance and service quality.In consequence, we designed and implemented a component state perception and management system in Smart Cooperative Network, to distributedly percept port state, link performance, data traffic, etc; to gather statistics of identity information of Smart Cooperative Network, such as SID (service identification), NID (node id), PID (inter-domain path identification); to implement customized state perception strategy on different network components by RM (network centric resource manager); to come up with a communication mechanism based on Smart Cooperative Network’s basic communication protocol, be able to complete data acquisition, status announcement, fault declaration, strategy issued and a series of actions.Firstly, we briefly expounded the disadvantages of the existing Internet, and put forward Smart Cooperative Network and the requirement of state awareness and management in Smart Cooperative Network. Considering the state awareness and management of network components, we researched a variety of network management protocol in existing network, and analyzed their characteristics and limitations when applying to the new network architecture.Secondly, according to the characteristics and demand of Smart Cooperative Network, we put forward a design for the component state perception and management system. We introduced the design of all function modules in the system, and described the communication mechanism, in detail.Thirdly, we introduced the implementation of the component state perception and management system with each module. We described all system function in detail, such as state awareness, notices, fault declaration, data statistics, state acquisition, data communication, dynamic strategy, state management, port control on each function module realization.Finally, we deployed the the component state perception and management system in an AS of Smart Cooperative Network, and completed functional verification and system test.
