After the sixteenth national congress, our country all over the country rang with the slogan of a learning society. A sound of the slogans of building a learning society around our country, the whole country raised a hot wave of nationwide reading. More and more focus has been put on Children’s reading which as a basis of the reading. And become a top priority of nationwide reading. Cultivating reading habits at childhood have an important impact on individual lifelong learning habits, thus, whether attaches great importance to the children’s reading promotion reflects a country could make strategy layout on national development and cultural inheritance or not. As the hub of human cultural heritage, library not only bearing functions of developing information resources, but also bearing the culture education function. Therefore, library bears the important mission and obligation in children’s reading promotion activities.In this article, through visiting some national representative libraries, collected and organized relevant materials of the children’s reading, collated the foreign library children’s reading promotion activities, and summarized the service mode on children’s reading promotion in library. At the same time, pointed out our country library service status of children reading promotion and what we learn from outside. Putting forward the service mode idea of children’s reading promotion in our country library, predicting the possible problems and provided the safeguard mechanism. Hoping to giving the reference to the future libraries’ service work of children’s reading promotion.All in all, we got the following results through the investigation and analysis in this paper: Research on service activities and service modes of foreign libraries’ children reading and concludes the enlightenment. Expounded the current library service situation of children reading promotion in our country and summarized the service mode of our country. By absorbing the successful experience of foreign library children’s reading promotion, putting forward service model ideas to our country library, and discussed the way of the future innovation service.
