This paper describes the realization of energy consumption management system in a sugar refinery of Guangzhou City, mainly based on ZigBee wireless ad hoc network technology and sensor technology to achieve the sugar manufacturing process of various types of energy consumption data uploading, display and analysis, so as to achieve the purpose of online monitoring, with high reliability, low cost characteristics. The energy management system consists of three parts:the host computer data management system, ZigBee wireless transmission network system and the underlying data acquisition system.The host computer data management system through the serial port communication terminal from the ZigBee network coordinator to get the data, using the force control configuration software to make the data in the form of statements and curves to express, so that data is easy to display, integration and analysis. According to the spatial layout of the sugar production equipment,network transmission layer build a wireless ZigBee tree network. Data can transport through the host computer data management system and the underlying data acquisition system. The underlying data acquisition system includes various types of intelligent sensors, which are used to realize the periodic acquisition of production data.Firstly, this paper introduces the background and significance of the research topic, research status. Analysis system requirements of the project andcomparing several commonly used short-range wireless communications technology, selected based on ZigBee wireless communication technology as a means of communication of the project. Then it introduces the ZigBee technology, network topology, ZigBee networking process and protocol stack, and gives a brief overview of the functions of each layer of the ZigBee protocol stack. Choosing TI’s Z-Stack protocol stack as a software development platform for this project by comparing the major manufacturers of ZigBee solutions. At the same time, the experiment of transmission quality analysis is done on the hardware platform which is produced by the network bee company.Then combined with the actual spatial structure of sugar final network topology ZigBee wireless sensor networks. On this basis, using the C language code and flow chart to explain the main process of the protocol stack, the development process of the node software program and the communication process between the node and the host computer. Finally, using the three-dimensional force control configuration software to display and analyze statistical data, to achieve the function of online monitoring.
