With the rapid development of Internet technology, Zig Bee technology quickly come into our life. Bluetooth devices are very common in our life, and it is often used in the same scene with Zig Bee technology. But the two kinds of technology can not communicate with each other. If the Zig Bee devices and Bluetooth devices can communicate with each other, it will greatly benefit our life.This paper presents a solution to complete two-way transparent transmission of the Zig Bee and Bluetooth networks.This paper designs a gateway, which can realize mutual transparent communication of Zig Bee devices and Bluetooth devices. This paper studied the relevant technology of the gateway. The application layer is divided into three sub layers: application support layer, address adaptation layer and application protocol layer. In the implementation process, the data domain structure and application layer frame format structure are defined, and application layer is divided into four modules to achieve. The gateway running on the ARM architecture of the Linux platform developed by using cross compiler environment. Simple visual graphical interface is designed, so the various functions of the gateway can be easily used. In the test experiments, the communication distance of the gateway can reach 10 meters. And the packet loss rate caused by the gateway communication process is below 1%. The time delay of the gateway is around 150 milliseconds, and the time delay jitter is about 35 milliseconds.The main contents of the paper include:1. The Bluetooth protocol stack and Zig Bee protocol stack is analyzed. The problem of coexistence of Bluetooth network and Zig Bee network is analyzed.3. The experimental platform is set up. Hardware selection and hardware configuration are explained.4. Application layer protocol are designed and implemented.5. The visual management interface of gateway are achieve based on Qt.6. Performance test and functional test of the gateway are designed and implemented.
