With the development of mobile Internet, the O2O market in China has made a tremendous improvement. Especially in restaurant area, many companies are trying to change the traditional way of restaurant consuming behaviors into online bahaviors, using a variety of business models. This includes online reservation, which provides restaurant reservation method online. However, like other online restaurant business models, online reservation faced challenges like the stubborn consuming habits of consumers and the low average information level of most restaurants. And consider the special needs of restaurant reservations, the current online reservation method does not meet the overall requirement of restaurant reservation.Therefore, to solve this problem, we designed and implemented a free reservation call system based on the Dianping application. The system implements the free call function inside the Dianping application, combining with third-party private telephone platform and third-party internet call applications to provide users free reservation call solutions. This allows users to browse on Dianping and make free reservation calls at the same time. The system uses technical methods such as the SSI framwork, Freemarker template engine and inter-application communication mechanism in Android to implement free reservation call functions, and operation backstage for shop managements.The free reservation call system of Dianping, includes the advantages of Dianping’s online restaurant guide information, and provides traditional telephone reservation functions. It makes it easier for consumers to carry out reservation behavior, and does not require restaurants to make special changement on managing method. As a result, the Danping reservation services can easily scale up coverage, while cultivating user’s habits, and attracts restaurants to strengthen their information technology in order to attract more consmers. Also with the reservation data we obtained from the system, allows us to make further analysis to determine the development direction of reservation business.
