At this time, various celebrity show up with idol worship emerging.In 1995, Years of Capriccio by Zhao Zhongxiang has became a bestseller. It sets off a wave of celebrity writing books. After that, we can find that "celebrity books" written by media professionals, business leaders, entertainers, and political figures often appears at bestsellers list. The OpenBook website published "the nonfiction best-seller lists TOP30" in 2015. This best-seller list includes eight celebrity books. The bestseller is appreciated by publishers because it has large brand effects and significant economic benefits. Celebrity books have become a beautiful scenery line in the book market and of great significance in modern publishing industry.In September,2015, independent-24 was published by Zhang Yixing, who is post-90s popular idol. The book independent-24 is well-received by fans and sold nearly seventy thousand copies in pre-sale time of 24 minutes. It sets a new record in the book industry’s pre-sale activities. Driven by the idolatrous worship, fans buy celebrity books to read, admire and treasure. Fans is a important strength to support the celebrity books selling.This paper investigate the phenomenon of celebrity books publishing combined with readers from fans group. The paper analyze the relationship between celebrity books and readers from fans group, study publication pattern of celebrity books and provide suggestions based on readers from fans group. Specifically, the thesis can be divided into five parts.The first part is introduction, mainly elaborates the research purpose, research significance and research methods of the paper. Then the author analyze the current situation of the domestic and foreign research on celebrity books and fans. Furthermore, the research give definition to the concept and range of celebrity books, and preliminary explains the means of readers from fans group to be foundation for later parts. The second part reviews the development track of celebrity books in the past more than thirty years and interprets the reasons for appearance of celebrity books. Celebrity books are classified from the current large number of books and the characteristics of different types of celebrity books are observed. The third part describes and analyzes readers from fans group who have important impacts on the celebrity books publishing by taking these methods like online observation, questionnaire survey and case study. In the first place, this study analyzes the main features of fans, and then explains the features of readers from fans group on this base. The author makes a distinguish between the general readers and readers from fans group. In the next place, find how fans affect production and distribution system of celebrity books from topic selection link, production link and marketing link. At last, What I Have Seen by Chai Jing and independent-24 by Zhang Yixing are used as cases for materials. The fourth part is the conclusion of what effect celebrity books have on fans’ reading behavior from commonly phenomena and how celebrity books influence fans’ values and outlook in life. Based on the analysis above, the fifth part interprets great significance celebrity books have in modern publishing industry. Then the paper is to study publication pattern of celebrity books based on readers from fans group. The author put forward some suggestions and countermeasures to deal with those problems appearing in celebrity books’ publishing process so that celebrity books could play a positive role in instructing fans and produce a more positive social effect. |
