| Since the famous anchor Zhao Zhongxiang published the first book years of thinking in 1995,the number of books published by radio and television anchors and hosts increased gradually.On the one hand,these books published by anchors share similarities with celebrity-publishing books,radio and television anchor have already created fans effect in the mass media platform,thus helping the books become the best-seller;On the other hand,it also differentiated from common celebrity-publishing books——first of all,as the mouthpiece of the party and the people,for anchors and host,the ideological values of the impact on society is more profound;Secondly,the audience segment of TV and radio anchor is far less than the general entertainment stars,in China,they are more powerful in influencing the public opinions.Furthermore,what does the TV anchor and host book-publishing mania looks like? What is the driving force behind this boom? What is the impact of this phenomenon on society,readers,and book publishing?This dissertation starts with the transition in three aspects: the development of radio and television media,the change of social atmosphere and the marketization of publishing industry.The methods of literature review,data statistics,textual content analysis,comparative analysis and empirical analysis are applied in the study.The discussion is divided into four chapters(except for theintroductory chapter).The first chapter aims at depicting the development and category of TV anchors and host book-publishing phenomenon from1990 s.The second chapter regards this phenomenon as a branch of celebrity publishing,and explore the reason behind it—that is,how the media content can be circulating as a commodity in the market,how the demand and production came into being,and how the audience consume such a commodity.The third chapter focuses on the significance and influence on the whole society,book market and publishing industry.The fourth is the rethinking of this phenomenon,further explores what the deficit hiding in this mechanism and making suggestions toward them. |
