| With the rapid development of society, China will continue to build a large number of public facilities and buildings. Cement is one of the most consumable materials in the building process, China’s cement production has been ranked first in the world for more than twenty years. The cost of raw materials occupies a major part in the production of cement.Therefore, the management of raw materials plays a very important role in the control of the production costs of enterprises. In the field of volume measurement, the traditional artificial measurement are gradually being abandoned. And a volume measurement system is designed to automatically measure the volume of the irregular material stack.In this thesis, the system composition, working principles, design scheme, software and hardware composition have been detailed explained by the author. Highly precise laser rangefinder as sensor, set up guide rails on the two sides of the material site.The measurement platform with the laser rangefinder moves along the rail and scans the material stack. The data of material stack transmitted to the PC terminal for processing through network, calculating the volume of materials and generating a 3-D simulation map, and storing the result in the database. The UI also was provided for the control of the system and configuration parameters, as well as historical data query.The work of this paper includes two parts including software design and hardware design. The former includes using C language to complete the programming of the stepper motor driver, ethernet communication, WIFI module communication,data acquisition system and designing of the communication protocols; The hardware work includes the alternative of laser rangefinder and electronic components, circuit schematic diagram, PCB design and welding,circuit debugging. Meanwhile, VS2012 platform has been adopted to complete the server application, UI and building SQL Server database. After mechanical model completed, the system has been conducted corresponding test.However, it is difficult to real test in cement factor which is in the production period. Neither can this be done in lab because of the complex and building of the real environment. So, MATLAB is chosed to simulate the measurement test of the system, and analyzed the error of result. The final measurement result can reach an accuracy of 90%, which meet the need of cement mill. |
