Abstract/Summary:
Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing(GFDM) is a new scheme of multi-carrier modulation, which proposed for 5G physical layer. Up to now, there is little research about it. With the coming of Internet and the requirement of four nets in one, Power Line Communication(PLC) is required to achieve higher rate, higher band and more stability, it means that the requirement of modulation technique is higher, which translate on physical layer for PLC. In this paper, we mainly study the application of GFDM and OFDM in PLC physical layer transmission modulation technology.Firstly, the fundamental conception of PLC and the development status are introduced.Second, by discussing the noise interfere of PLC channel and the feature of multi-transmission, the model of PLC is introduced and the effections of each characteristic are analyzed. Then, connecting to the measured data of low voltage PLC, we get several reference channel of low voltage PLC, and further point the possibility to use the modulation technique of multi-carrier, during transimitting on physical layer.Third, the tecniques of OFDM and GFDM are determin as the scheme, which are applied in PLC physical layer transmission, by discussing several hot modulation technique in the communication system. In addition, Focuses on the basic principle of GFDM system for non rectangular filter which based on the group design in detail.Finally, the simulation of PLCtransceiver is realized,which base on OFDM and GFDM, by reference to the protocol of PLC physical layer standard and specific channel analysis. Then the low complexity model of transceiver system is introduced, which based on GFDM prossing in frequency domain. The filter performance of OFDM and GFDM are analyzed, eventually, we get the comparison of system SER performance of OFDM and GFDM.The results shows that the modulation of OFDM and GFDM can utilize the resources of channel rationally, and resist the multipath and noise of PLC effectively. The performance of PLC system is improved and achieves anticipate result.
