| The target echo signal of radar system can be seen as the output of the radar transmitting pulse signal after a system. The system function depends on the target echo information, which reflects the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the target. Therefore, the radar target echo signal can be generated by convolving the radar transmitting signal with the electromagnetic scattering data of the target.In this paper, based on the background of a ground-based radar echo simulation system equipment, the radar echo model of point targets and extended targets and the implementation of the simulation system are systematically studied, more details are as follows:Introduction of the basic principles of radar, for example, Radar cross section, radar cross section, radar range equation, antenna pattern and antenna scanning model etc. The definition of space coordinate system and the transformation of coordinate system are illustrated, and several kinds of transmitting signal waveform are introduced as well, all of which have laid a theoretical foundation for modeling of radar echo.The echo model of point target is theoretically derived on base of chirp signal and stepped-frequency signal, the phase modulation, envelope delay modulation, target selection and pattern amplitude modulation of the echo signal are described in detail.Based on the theory of multiple scattering centers of extended targets, the echo model of extended target is theoretically derived, which can be broken up into baseband signal generation, range gate delay modulation, convolution sequence modulation, Doppler phase modulation.Then this paper introduces the CPU-GPU development and characteristics of software platform, the hardware structure of the GPU, CUDA programming model and computing platform in detail.This paper, based on the above algorithm and platforms, presents the implementation of echo simulation algorithm based on CPU-GPU, including the division of tasks between the GPU and CPU, and GPU algorithm implementation. Then we studied the main technical points of the algorithm based on GPU.Based on the CPU to GPU platform, we design simulation software, implement and validate it. The article introduces the overall design, software modules and multithreading implementation and software structure of function division. Based on the theory of radar system, we do some test and verification results. After this we put forward some optimization methods and implementation and verification. |
