This paper relies on the project "airborne weather radar automatic test system".Airborne weather radar system is an important part of civil aviation aircraft.However,the traditional test process is complicated and the efficiency is very low.At present, most of the civil aviation enterprises adopt automatic test platform for the detection of Avionics.Existing automatic test system in China is mainly imported from foreign equipment manufacturers. Foreign automatic test system is not only expensive, but also incompatible for other manufacturers.This paper designs a set of automatic test system for airborne weather radar system which can improve the efficiency and reduce the cost..Firstly,this paper introduces the development of automated testing in the field of civil aviation, and expounds the significance of the issue. Then the software and hardware requirements of the automatic test system are analyzed, and the design framework of the whole system is put forward.The system includes hardware platform design, software platform design, and the specific test of the weather radar and antenna pedestal for the test module.The hardware platform is based on GPIB bus and connected to a variety of test instruments.The software platform choose QT as the development framework, and chooses Lua as the automatic test script,which implement the function of script editor, privilege management, driver function library, script running and debugging modular.Finally,this paper introduce the test process of meteorological radar transceiver and antenna pedestal and the key points in the test,including the analysis of weather data format of ARINC 453, and the analysis process of the serial communication format of the radar antenna pedestal.Finally, a set of universal automatic test system is completed, which supports the automatic test of weather radar and radar antenna pedestal.This automatic test system can be reconstructed and easy to expand.According to the needs of the users,user just should configure the test resource,design,the interface adapter,and develop the test program on the software platform.The development of such a test system does not have to master a number of professional testing skills, they can easily and quickly test airborne equipment.
