| The modern world is highly technological, fast developing in all spheres, from science and business to tourism and daily life needs. The speed of life, ways of communication and transportation have achieved an incredible level. Under these circumstances, the problem of safety, life and property security have also become crucial. For that, the Complex Safety systems were created with video surveillance systems as their core. Video surveillance is applied everywhere – financial sphere, healthcare, sport venues, industry, commercial sphere etc. The use of video surveillance systems vastly minimizes risks of all kinds of crimes and violations in a protected object. The video surveillance systems’ market is probably the fastest in development and most competitive at present times with new technologies to be constantly created and new vendors to appear. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate current development and trade in the sphere of video surveillance between Russia and China. This research can be very valuable in this sphere.This thesis includes theoretical research and empirical research. A survey method was chosen for the empirical research. On the base of information obtained from domestic and foreign literature and other sources of information, an investigation and analysis of state policies, concerning video surveillance systems implementation, factors that have an influence on video surveillance systems development, tendencies and trends of video surveillance systems development as well as vendors and producers in this sphere in China and Russia were carried out. Basing on the information, obtained from theoretical research, a questionnaire for the survey was composed. Through this survey, the data were obtained concerning people’s thoughts about video surveillance systems, their attitude to systems’ spread all over a country, their attitude to the state policy in this sphere and the problems that exist, whether they satisfied or not, what is good about video surveillance and what are the weak points, what should be improved to make the systems more effective, which technologies should be used and developed etc. A statistical analysis was applied to handle the results of the survey. The next part of the research is investigation of the trade between China and Russia in the sphere of video surveillance, considering its present shape and perspectives of development. The research includes analysis of existing projects and strategies, history, the process and policies of cooperation in this sphere between two countries with proposition for possible improvements. |
