Public goods are consumed by all the social members and it is also important for the economic development in a country. With the development of socialist market economy and city management system, the community has become the basic city unit and is an important place where people can get the public goods. The stations of public supply will affect the direct interest of urban residents and their living standards and then will affect the harmony, stability and development in the community.With the deep development of economy and the urbanization, the public good demand from the residents is rising now. The public good demand of western people has greatly improved after the western exploration.But the public good supply in the urban community also exist many problems. These problems embodied in exceeded government and market supply. The excessive government supply of public good result in low efficiency, imbalanced structure, low supply and cannot meet the demand from residents. If there is less regulation in public good supply, it will lead to excessive market supply and result in unreasonably price and odds resource relocation and then influence the supply quality.So as a city manager, government has the responsibility to provide public good in effect and it should transform its functions continuously, has a right role and introduce more suppliers to improve the efficiency of public good supply. Therefore, the further studies of public good supply in urban communities are significant for exerting governmental function.
