A Study On Non-performing Assets Of Commercial Bank

The banks’ Non-performing Assets has become a worldwide problem today, it has been themost important factors of direct damage to a country’s financial stability.If we do not takeeffective measures to address non-performing Assets of the commercial banks in time, notonly it will seriously affect the survival and development of the commercial banks, but alsocause financial crisis that affect the healthy development of the national economy. Therefore,how to solve the problem of non-performing Assets, guard against financial risks has becomethe most important thing of China’s financial industry.This paper is in based on the bad loans of bank, and with the method of field research andempirical analysis, study with the non-performing Assets’s current situation and disposalmeasures of A Bank. compare the methods which deal with non-performing Assets of thecommercial banks of four Countries. and then analyze the cause of the A Bank’snon-performing Assets. I come to the conclusion: on the one hand, it because the lake of riskawareness; On the other hand, it because the credit foundation is weak of the entireeconomic environment and the lake of supervision. then put forward solutions: building aprofessional team, the securitization of non-performing Assets, non-performing Assets to sell,the restructuring of non-performing Assets, legal proceedings, Also proposed a serious ofpreventive measures, attention to control risk from the source.The innovation of this paper is to reveal the underlying reasons for A Bank’s non-performingAssets. It is because of the lack consciousness of Credit officers; and then find out the sourceof the Bad Assets. At last proposed some measures to prevent the non-performing assets.Such as,forward the risk management system and establish a system of leadershipinterviews.
