In the past10years, China’s GDP grows annually at an average rate of more than10%. It has entered a new stage of per capita of GDP3000dollars. In the “TwelfthFive-Year Plan” period, with the progress of a well-off society, the per capitaconsumption of our country will continue to grow and consumption patterns willchange significantly. Among them, the tour will become the basic content and therigid demand of urban residents’ life. At the same time, with the public holiday, restdays, paid vacation and other breaks being close to the level of moderately developedcountries, tourism consumer demand will show explosive growth and a huge tourismmarket will accelerate the formation of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period. To seizethe market, all places are trying to exploit tourism resources through various means topromote tourism popularity to attract tourists to visit. And it can promote localeconomic and social development. Among the factors of promoting tourismawareness, celebrities and their works, personality are important factors to promotethe development of tourism industry. Making use of celebrity effect, not only canpromote the development of tourism products, but also can promote the tourismdestination protection of celebrity relics and the excavation and inheriting of celebrityculture as well as to achieve the win-win of cultural heritage protection and tourismdevelopment.Based reading a lot of domestic and foreign literature and comprehensive use oftourism, sociology, psychology and other related disciplines, and referring to theexisting research results, the author chose Tao Yuanming, a historical and culturalcelebrity and Jiujiang County and Xingzi County, two of the more well-known touristdestinations, to make in-depth analysis of the factors of celebrities and their works,personality influence on tourism destination attraction. Through field interviews, theauthor interviewed the tourists, local people and staff of tourism departments to striveto understand the influence of celebrities and their culture to the local tourism fromseveral aspects.On the basis of empirical study on the influencing factors of celebrities and their works and the spirit to tourism destination attraction, the author pointed out that thecurrent tourist destination haven’t done enough in the excavation, protection,development of celebrities resources. At the same time, to provide reference for theconstruction of relevant tourist destination, the author put forward some suggestionsto enhance the tourism popularity, such as making full use of celebrity effect anddevelopment and utilization of products, etc.
