For meeting the needs of the rapidly changing market environment and the customers’differentiated demands, innovation become a magic weapon which is helpful for an enterpriseto seize the market. The introduction of new cars is a complicated systematic engineeringwhich has a long cycle and covers the concept design, product planning, regulatorycertification, technology development, commercial investment and a huge supply chain.Especially in the globalization cooperative development platform, the needs of all-sidedcooperation, effective organization of various resources, using the modern projectmanagement tools become more and more important. Therefore, for the introduction of newcars project, in order to control the progress, cost and project targets effectively, a standardproject management system is essential.Company D is the research object in this paper. First, this paper introduces the situationof totally planning and project control of Company D’s introduction of new cars. Analyze thenew cars introduction project management’s situation in the structure of the projectorganization, development process, objective management and evaluation index. Second, itanalyzes the new cars introduction project’s organization structure, evaluation method,schedule control, communication, feedback in organizational, project and execution level.Discuss the difficulty in the project and the hidden risks in the project management system.Then, it uses the theories, techniques and practices of project management, combiningresources and operational status of the company, using data analysis, concurrent engineering,process-oriented, benchmarking, PDCA and other tools and methods. Improve managementsystem of the project and proposed overall project management and control measures,including the application of the organizational structure, resource allocation, evaluationsystem, production and quality control, risk assessment. Finally, evaluate the effects inquality, schedule, and cost these three aspects. And summaries the indirect effects in thecapacity and efficiency of project management and related stakeholder satisfaction.Putting in new cars is the significant part in car companies’ long run strategic objectives.Various functions to achieve synergies and solve information opacity, quality control andcost budget is an important issue in new cars introduction project. By researching the improvement of Company D’s introduction project, it boosts its subsequent new carsintroduction project’s quality and has certain reference significance in new cars introductionfor auto industries.
