TPP’s Influence On APEC And Chinese Strategic Choices

According to the comparation of APEC and TPP， this paper maintain that as a“high standard”，“high quality” regional trade agreement leaded by the United Statesin21stcentury， TPP has a dual impact on unrestricted APEC. On the one hand， TPPcan push the negotiations of APEC， provide the new mode for the asia-pacific regionto consolidate the existing trade agreements， and it’s conducive to promotingregional economic integration; but on the other hand， TPP challenges theunrestricted mechanism of APEC， weakens its leading position on economiccooperation of the asia-pacific region， and also challenges the multilateral tradingsystem when it committed to the formulation of new trade rules. The regional policyof US turning from APEC to TPP makes big changes of the pattern between UnitedStates and China. China may be crowd out in the field of economic and non-economicas the United States committed to grasp the initiative in the asia-pacific region;though China needs to cope with various challenges， it will eventually have thechance to join TPP， because of Chinese huge domestic market and its influence onthe trade of US. Although the negotiation of TPP has enormous momentum，it’sconflicting goal of high-quality and trans-pacific integration make multipledifficulties.On the other hand，the starting of global trade liberalization frameworksuch as the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement (RCEP) andCJKFTA， formed game between big powers in the Asia Pacific region， In thiscontext， how should China adjust it’s strategy of regional economic cooperation?Only with complementary interaction， can they form a win-win situation， furtherpromote the development of regional economic integration.
