With the sharp increase in market demand and intensification of market economy,the lagging production management model of aerospace fastener business in our countryhas become the bottleneck restricting its development. Currently, the production modeof aerospace fasteners is mainly in multi species and small batches, and most of thespecific production tasks are scheduled in accordance with the types and batches, inspite of the similarities between the different types of products. Besides, the rapidupdate speed of aerospace fasteners varieties and high accuracy result in frequentchangeover and long production changeover time. How to use the similarities ofproducts to shorten the production changeover time has become an increasingremarkable problem to be solved.To solve the long changeover problem in aerospace fasteners manufacturingprocess, the author had the following researches on the basis of business research,literature and theoretical analysis.The research in the characters of aerospace fastener products and productstructures was done, then the scheduling and production changeover status in aerospacefasteners production process wasdescribed and the existing problems and the actualdemands was analyzed. Based on the former works, the author firstly had a study on thegroup technology in aerospace fasteners production process and elaborated the productgroup method faced in production process from the perspective of manufacturingresources. Secondly, the rules of group partition and sorting which considered theconstraints such as product grouping and arrival time werestudied. The aerospacefastener products group scheduling problem was divided into single group scheduling,parallel machine scheduling, and multi-process scheduling problems. At last, the authorhad researches into those problems, built the corresponding mathematical models,constructed the heuristic rules and finished the integration with genetic algorithm topresent the algorithm to the models.On the basis of previous studies and combination with the actual production tasks,the planning and scheduling problems were solved, through comparing the results withthe output of the current scheduling method, the validation and feasibility of this studywas preliminarily proved.
