| Watching and downloading videos is one of the main purposes of Internetsurfers.The video-download websites have always been the main channel to Internetusers to download video, also be the place where Internet users gather.The upgradingof broadband networks and the development of P2P technology provide a strongtechnical support for video-download sites.Massive resources plus timely updatesdownload speed, making the video-download websites much favored byusers.However, video-download websites bring a lot of problems in the process of thepursuit of economic interests, mainly in its advertisements.This article takes the literature analysis and content analysis to analyse thehomepage ads of Verycd,dianyingtiantang,mianbao,BTzhijia and renrenyingshi,basedon the development of online advertising, Internet advertising types and distributionchannels.From the number of ads, advertising structure, advertising contents,advertising forms and advertising sources and other multi-pronged approach toexamine current issues of video-download websites,drawing the followingconclusions: the number of advertisements in individual video-download sites are toomany, and it affects the experience of surfers;online game is the main force in theadvertising industry, but some seriously violate the laws and regulations of onlinegames;there exsits many pop-up ads, and some ads implement carpet bombing;thecontent of ads are rich in the information of sex and violence;the correlation of adsand contents remains to be improved;online advertising alliance has become animportant platform for spreading pornography information.To solve theseproblems,the article puts forward several management measures: standardize ads andimprove users’ experience;website should strengthen checks and refuse to bad ads;transform government functions,and constantly monitor the online ads;improve thelegal system;strengthen the advertising industry self-regulation; exert the power ofsocial supervision.Finding the existing problems of ads in video-download websites and proposingcorresponding measures are helpful to the specification and management of ads invideo-download websites, so that the ads of video-download websites could developtoward healthy and benign direction. |
