In this paper, according to Northam curves and Chenery multinational model ofurbanization and economic development stages of a country’s comparative analysis ofthe level of individual countries were at different stages of development andconsumption at different stages of development of each country’s urbanization anddifferences in changes in investment comparative analysis found that the proportion ofresidents in China’s final consumption accounted GDP is significantly lower than indeveloped countries and emerging countries, even lower than in developing countries,India, and the total fixed asset investment share of GDP is much higher than othercountries being compared against this phenomenon and make recommendations forthe development path of urbanization in China and how to pull the urbanizationprocess of the development path of this consumer demand and countermeasures.For China "low consumption, high investment," the phenomenon, pointed out thesavings rate, factors that affect the residents of final consumption rate of four elderlydependency ratio of social security expenditure ratio, the national Gini coefficient,first with these factors made a theoretical explanation, and then use annual data1990-2011years22years doing empirical research: Unit root test, Johansencointegration test, Granger causality test and multiple regression. The results showthat: the savings rate, the elderly dependency ratio, and the Gini coefficient betweenthe national final consumption inverse relationship between the rate of residents, andis a positive correlation between the ratio of social security expenditure and householdfinal consumption rate.Finally, based on empirical results from several factors that affect the residents offinal consumption rate, puts forward suggestions and strategies for the developmentpath of urbanization in China and how to pull the urbanization process of thedevelopment path of this consumer demand.
