China’s photovoltaic industry originated in the1960s and is booming during the11thfive-year plan, gradually occupies an important position in the global photovoltaic market. Inthe rapid development of photovoltaic industry, meanwhile some problems occurred, e.g.Silicon material and system application excessive dependence on foreign markets, solar celland components development too fast, overcapacity makes the industry chain imbalance,resulting in enterprises development of different links are intermingled and other issues. AndChina’s photovoltaic enterprise is disparate development, low management level, weak coretechnology, poor cost control, imperfect construction and excessive dependence. In2011, TheUnited States and the European Union put forward the “double reverse”survey. Therefore, theentire photovoltaic industry chain in China is operated difficulty, multiple fractures and afterthe collapse. By previous photovoltaic enterprises in China have developed rapidly accordingto market demand, and reached a steady mature state, but also enterprises efficiency directlyaffects photovoltaic industry chain development, and ultimately affect the operation of theentire photovoltaic industry chain. This paper introduces the study on the efficiency andinfluence factors in photovoltaic industry chain node enterprise, analyzes the currentdevelopment of node enterprise efficiency in upstream, midstream and downstream ofphotovoltaic industry chain, find out the factors affecting the poor enterprises efficiency, inorder to improve the photovoltaic enterprise efficiency and promote the whole operation ofthe photovoltaic industry chain.First, this dissertation analyzes deeply the status quo of the whole industry chain andnode enterprises from the upstream, midstream and downstream link, for the followingresearch of efficiency in photovoltaic industry chain node enterprises to lay a theoreticalfoundation. Second, estimates the efficiency by traditional DEA, analyzes the efficiency inupstream,midstream and downstream of photovoltaic industry chain based on comprehensiveefficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency. Then introduces the cross-efficiencyDEA and Malmquist index methods to calculate out efficiency with mutual assessmentsystem, carry on the sorting, and analyze the dynamic changes of the photovoltaic industrychain node enterprise efficiency. According to overcome the limitations of traditional DEA,the conclusion about the efficiency in upstream, midstream and downstream of photovoltaicindustry chain is more accurate and comprehensive. Finally, for the calculations aboutefficiency of photovoltaic enterprises and analysises about the upstream, midstream and downstream of photovoltaic industry chain efficiency, using Tobit regression based oncross-efficiency to find out influencing factors in photovoltaic industry chain node enterprises,in order to promote the operation of each link and improve the efficiency of the photovoltaicindustry chain.
