In the time of knowledge economy, human resources are the first resource of theenterprise in the fierce market competition, and product development staff is the mostimportant resource. Equipment manufacturing enterprise product developmentpersonnel is on behalf of the enterprise product competitive ability and the ability ofnew product development. They are the core of the enterprise sustainable developmentand in an impregnable position. Therefore, how to improve product development staffwork performance, work ability, enhance the level of business and how to useincentives to improve their work enthusiasm, creative, are becoming urgent problemsto improve the core competitiveness.Firstly, this article introduces the significance of performance evaluation onenterprise development and performance evaluation research status both at home andabroad. Take an equipment manufacturing enterprise EZ company product developersas the research object. On the basis of their characteristics in detail, this paper analyzesthe status quo of EZ company original performance appraisal system and the existingproblems; Secondly, on the basis of the latest research results of performance appraisal,this paper expounds the company product development personnel performanceevaluation system to establish the overall conception and basic principles. Bydecomposing the company’s overall targets of product development into thedepartment goals step by step, personal mission objectives, target appraisal method,360-degree evaluation method and key performance index evaluation method areused. To rebuild the EZ company product development staff performance appraisalsystem, the content and standard is discussed in detail, and application of the results ofperformance appraisal and evaluation are briefly introduced; Finally elaborated thenew performance appraisal program implementation safeguard measures.
