Research On Electronic Business Model Of Our Ountry’s Agricultural Enterprise In View Of Value Chain Theory

With the rapid development of electronic business in all sectors of society, our national agricultural enterprises have embarked on the road toward electronic business. For this reason, our government has put forward a series of policies and requirements on vigorously developing agricultural electronic business, for example,"inspiring the practice of electronic business in agricultural enterprises","enhancing the development of electronic business in major industries". These policies have continuously promoted the support for healthy development of electronic business in agricultural enterprises. Meanwhile, the primary task for agricultural enterprise to initiate electronic business is selecting an appropriate electronic business model. Therefore, this article is mainly focusing on the research on electronic business model in agricultural enterprises through value chain theory, constructing a value chain-based electronic business model system for agricultural enterprises, raising the point of how to select electronic business model by case study and making proposals for accelerating the development of electronic business in agricultural enterprises. This essay is composed of seven sections.Section1, Introduction. This section introduces the research significance, research status, main methodology and contents, technical route and structure. In the research significance and status part, it elaborates on the importance of applying electronic business in agricultural enterprises and its lagged characteristic, to explain the necessity and urgency of research on electronic business in agricultural enterprises and electronic business models.Section2, related theory base. The theories covered in this article include the definition of agricultural enterprises, relevant knowledge of electronic business, electronic business model and value chain theory. This section follows Paul Timmers’categorization of electronic business model, defining and analyzing11types of electronic business models, comparing and analyzing their merits and demerits, core business, earnings, and values, providing basis for section4.Section4, establishing electronic business model in agricultural enterprises based on value chain theory. This section, combined with the analysis of electronic business model based on value chain theory in section3, classifies these11types of electronic business models, and defining electronic business model fit for agricultural enterprises, serving as theoretical basis for section5.Section5, demonstration research and analysis of electronic business model in agricultural enterprises. Based on section4, this section opens up a detailed analysis of classical cases about electronic business models and makes a horizontal comparison between three major electronic business models in agricultural enterprises.Section6, the selection of electronic business model of our country’s agricultural enterprise and development proposals.
