The Foreign Investment Research Of China Mining Industry

The Mineral resources are non-renewable resources. Although the amount of the mineral resources in China is large, the per capita of natural resources is in a relative shortage, such as the per capita of oil, natural gas, iron ore, copper and other important mineral resources. These are all lower than that of the world average level, and many mineral resources even need to import in large quantities in a long term. At present, the scrambling of mineral resources becomes more and more fierce in the worldwide, and it not only focuses on the current economic benefits, but also the international mining investment behavior of pursuing a strategic possess. The overseas investment on shortage resources is benefit to satisfy the demand of the domestic market and helpful to break the monopolistic advantage in the mining industry of some countries.To become a world powerful nation on the economic in the21st century, we must be prepared as soon as possible and formulate measures to fight for the global resources with the developed countries on the issue of the mineral resources. In order to obtain the effective and stable supply of the overseas mineral resources, we have to study the foreign investment behavior on the mining industry seriously and regard setting up and accelerating foreign investment in the mining industry of China as an important strategic objective now and in the future.The first chapter of this thesis is introduction, which analyses the background, the significance and the methods of the target subject. In chapter2, the foreign investment theories of mining industry at home and abroad are reviewed. In chapter3,the present situation of mineral resources in China is summarized, and the current situation of foreign investment of China mining industry is analyzed. In this part it points out the major problems of China’s foreign investment in mining. Chapter4, it puts forwards the selection principles of the foreign investment location in the mining industry and the ways to make location selection. It also analyses the modes of foreign investment in mining industry and the ways to choose it, then it introduces the foreign investment risk evaluation system into China’s mining industry. Chapter5, in view of the current situation of China’s mining industry, this thesis puts forward some practical countermeasures respectively from the perspective of government and enterprise. Chapter6is the conclusion and research prospects.
