Nowadays economic pattern is very changeful, The growth of domestic investment of fixed asset becames slow rapidly. Construction industry is of overcapacity. And the phenome non of lacking enough tasks has become increasingly prominent. The competition between c onstruction enterprises is also very strong. X company’s construction projects, especially rail way construction projects, has generally low net profit margin, and even huge losses. The co mpany in order to remain invincible in the fierce market competition, must pay close attentio n to cost management to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises.This article starts from the analysis of the status quo of the current railway constructio n project cost management, detailed analysis of the root causes of the project cost manageme nt:inflexible management system, poor process control and improper use. Combining with my expertise to exploreeffectively feasible cost management counter-measures:the effective i mplementation of a comprehensive budget management of the project, the implementation of the project full contracting methods, and comprehensively improving the passion of the staff involved in the project cost management, efforts to structure the grass-roots level to build sh elves team sub-team management model, strengthening the management of materials and eq uipment. There are the only way to fundamentally reverse the passive situation of the current cost management.
