The Comparative Analysis Of Rice Export Competitiveness Among China, Vietnam And Thailand

Rice is one of humanity’s most important food crop, while rice is also an important international agricultural commodity markets, occupies an important position in the international markets for agricultural products and international agricultural trade. Rice is one of the traditional exports of agricultural products in China, Vietnam and Thailand, the three countries in food exports has been occupying an important position. China and Vietnam, Thailand are relatively close to the stage geographical location, climatic conditions, and economic development, so the three countries on the production and export of agricultural products there is a great similarity. Therefore, in recent years, China, Vietnam and Thailand in the world rice market share, rice trading conditions to study the relationship between competition and faced interdependent, we are planning for the future direction and determine the appropriate system in terms of foreign trade has a positive impact, but also can enhance the close relationship between the three countries and trade cooperation and trade exchanges.Firstly, from rice production, rice trade policy, trade potential competitiveness of rice and rice trade in the relevant literature in four areas, on a preliminary understanding of the rice trade analysis. Then paper presents a theoretical basis in the second chapter of trade competitiveness analysis, analysis of trade competitiveness lists using the theoretical basis, and to explain the theory to construct a theoretical foundation for the analysis of research topics. Then the paper in the third chapter of the status of the overall world rice trade description, analysis of the major rice exporting countries of the World, the world’s major rice importing countries as well as world rice production and price trends for further analysis later laid the foundation. The fourth chapter by data on the specific situation in China, Vietnam, Thailand, the rice trade in the three countries have made further analysis, including rice production, rice exports, the main export market of rice, rice export prices and export quality rice. The fifth chapter by international market share, trade competitiveness index calculation and revealed comparative advantage index, analyzes China, Vietnam, Thailand, three rice trade competitiveness, come to China and Vietnam, Thailand does not have a significantly compared conclusions of comparative advantage, and analyzes the problems in Vietnam and Thailand are three rice trade faces. Finally, in accordance with Chapter VI of the article the problem facing China and rice from Vietnam, Thailand’s rice trade competitiveness, proposed to improve the competitiveness of China’s rice trade-related countermeasures.
