Research On The Influence Of Monopoly For China’s Income Disparity Between Industries

Since we carried out the policies of reform and opening-up, our economy has arapidly development. the residual’ income have a great increase and their living standardshave improved as well. But, there is a prominent problem that the growing incomedisparity is becoming more and more seriously. Income disparity can be divided betweenurban and rural, regions and industries. Now, there are a lot of researches on the first twokinds of disparity. As for the research on income disparity between industries, it isrelatively fewer. The most obvious character of it is the excessively high income that themonopoly industry gets. The reason they get the high income is not because theirefficiency or high level of human recourse, but is more rely on some irrational reasonslike their monopolies that the government gives them, absence of ownership,segmentation of labor market, etc. Now the high income that the monopoly industry getshas caused great dissatisfaction. Not only does it affect the fairness of incomedistribution, the rational flow of labor and is not conductive to social and economicdevelopment, but also will format “hating” and “speculation” on social psychology, havea negative effect on social stability and harmonious social construction. It’s a economicissue and social problems at the time.This paper is to study the impact on income disparity between industries from theperspective of monopoly. Through study on the current situation of income gap betweenindustries and the character of monopoly in our country, we give a quantitative analysison the relation between monopoly and industry income distribution. Then, give aqualitative analysis of the reason on how does monopoly caused the income gap betweenindustries; At last, we raised relevant solving methods.Introduction is the first part of this paper, the main topic is briefly introduced thebackground and significance of the research, the framework of this paper, the maininnovations and shortage of it. The second part is international and domestic research onthe influence of monopoly for income disparity between industries. The third part pointedout the fact that the income gap between industries is too large. Monopoly industries’revenue is much higher than other’. The fourth part introduced the particularity of monopoly in our country comparing with developed western countries, then analyze thereason caused it. The fifth part, based on the relative revenue data on15industries duringthe years of2004-2011, analyze the impact of monopoly on industry income gap byusing the method of panel data model. The six part is normative analysis, introduced howdoes the monopoly caused excessive industry revenue gap. The last part is to regulatemonopoly industries excessive income and bring forward some measures to reduce theincome gap between industries.
