| Virtual team is the organization composed of members of vague space and time constraints, with modern information technology as a form of communication media to complete the task. Today under knowledge economy, with the rapid development of information technology and the deepening globalization, the virtual team organization is widely used in enterprise operation, At the same time, with a more and more important role China plays in the global economy and based on China culture and the condition of the modern information technology, more attention is paid on research on virtual team social capital, knowledge integration and innovation performance.Our study, on the basis of the dimension of social capital structure under Chinese cultural context, introduces research perspective of knowledge integration, and constructs the effect mechanism model of social capital and knowledge integration on innovation performance. According to the literature review, conceptual model, and the characteristics of China Confucian culture, the three dimensions of virtual team social capital is analyzed and measured, and the empirical study combining the investigation of virtual team on enterprises in Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai is conducted. Three parts of the large sample empirical analysis are confirmatory factor analysis, multiple linear regression the Structural equation modeling.First of all, by Exploratory factor analysis on the data of42valid returned questionnaires from the research on enterprises in Jinhua, the final questionnaire with good reliability and validity was got to be used in large sample survey. Secondly, with a large sample survey of enterprises in Jiangsu Zhejiang Shanghai area, and multi-regression model based on the214valid returned questionnaires, the mediating effeets of knowledge integration between virtual team social capital and innovation performance was confirmed. Finally, by structural equation model (SEM) our conceptual model is analyzed and tested. We verify that the each dimension of social capital, which including the interaction quality, interactive manner, interaction frequency, mission trust,interpersonal trust, team identity, common language are all affecting innovative performance through the knowledge integration.The research shows that, via the knowledge integration the effect of virtual team social capital on innovation performance is significantly positive. Thus, in order to improve innovative performance, enterprises should try their best to cultivate, develop and make full use of the social capital, at the same time encourage communication and knowledge sharing to a better knowledge integration level among team members. |
