City brand is not just a city name and symbol, also contains the city’s image and unique concept. Good urban brand can improve social awareness of the city, accumulate capital, technology and personnel, promote the city’s economic development, enhance competitiveness and increase the public’s sense of belonging to the city’s pride. Shaping brand is the city’s economic development needs of the city, but also is the key ot adapt to the socialist market economy and to achieving sustainable development.This paper firstly proposed the importance of urban brand strategy and interpretationed of the relevant theoretical basis. Then a study on urban brand strategy and practical background of Hongqiao District of Tianjin brand building strategy, has explored the issues and opportunities Hongqiao District of Tianjin brand strategy, and in brand strategy, positioning of Hongqiao District. By summarizing the development of domestic and international law and experience in urban brands to bring enlightenment to the future economic development of Hongqiao DistrictFinally, analysis of the future strategic direction of the Hongqiao District, in summarizing the more advanced on the basis of experience, this paper proposed Hongqiao District proposed to further develop the brand economy, build the brand’s strategic direction and countermeasures city.By analyzing the typical domestic and international experience of the construction of the the city brand economy, and integrateding Tianjing and Hongqiao’s development actuality,the paper discusses the general rules of city brand new strategic principles, sub-CBD planning theory, new ideas for the region develop, and Hongqiao regional economic development strategy..Under Sub-CBD construction, Hongqiao should make full use of ecology, culture, location, land resources and other advantages achieve goal of upgrading industry. Bringing into play the function of the Sub-CBD’s factor congregation.Finally, practical build Hongqiao into an universal Sub-CBD of Tianjin, modem commercial urban industry base and harmonious livable cultural ecological city.
