Research On Panax Industrial Development Strategy Of Wenshan Yunnan Province

Panax notoginseng is one of the most famous and expensive plants, which belongs to Panax genus under Araliaceae family. This famous Chinese medicinal material is the homology of medicine and food. It’s regarded as " Priceless Plant","Magic Grass in the Southland" and "King of ginseng". In people’s daily life, it has already been used for thousand years. Panax notoginseng is mostly located in Wenshan region of Yunnan province in China due to its special demand for climate, soil and other basic environment condition of plant growth. It’s not only a unique medical material, but also the special biological resource for industrial production’s need.Since the Reform and Opening in China, Wenshan prefecture has treated Panax notoginseng as a pillar industry for years. They made efforts to construct platforms of "base, processing, research, market" to strengthen the development of Panax notoginseng industry. The government made big breakthrough in the aspects of " base-building, business development, project development, technological innovation, industrial base ". It promoted the Panax notoginseng industry much more sustainable, rapid and healthy. In recent years, with the advancement in technology and medical services, the Panax notoginseng has been in much more demand around the world. The application of it is being broadened. At the same time, Panax notoginseng has a wider prospect.This paper makes analysis on the Panax notoginseng industry’s present development and problems in Wenshan based on investigation and relevant documents. It did serious thinking on how to promote the process of Panax notoginseng industry in Wenshan. In the end, it put up some advices on sustainable Panax notoginseng industrialization. And also, it may have a certain reference value for local industrialization development.
