Since the reform and opening-up, with the rapid development of national economy and the deepening process of economic globalization and financial integration, China’s banking industry is becoming more competitive, and especially in the debt business, commercial banks not only try hard to make efforts in the innovation of loan varieties, but also continue to optimize various loan process, improving efficiency to capture the market share, In such an environment,post-loan management is particularly important. Therefore, improvement and strengthening of post-loan management is extremely urgent and we should fully recognize the importance of post-loan management. China’s commercial banks should not only establish a comprehensive post-loan management system, but more importantly make post-loan management innovation to detect any possible risk that may. threatens the quality of credit, to understand the new risks or other changes that may affect the credit quality, and to respond effectively to existing or anticipated changes of credit quality. Meanwhile, a credit risk management framework system should be gradually established and improved through the application of advanced risk management techniques to improve the level of credit risk management and to improve the quality of credit management.The research object of this paper is post-loan management of retail loans of commercial banks. Through careful analysis of post-loan management of retail loans is our country commercial banks,this paper analysis the current commercial bank management problems that exist in the after retail loans. Through the analysis of retail loans risk, this paper puts forward innovative suggestions on the management of retail loans. This article is divided into four chapters:The first chapter expounds the background and significance of the research, and summarizs the domestic and foreign present situation and the latest achievements of this study. The basic framework of research methods and contents are generally introduced. The second chapter tells the related theory in post-loan management of commercial banks, including the definition of post-loan management, post-loan management and the difference between the pre-loan investigation and post-loan management. The third chapter expounds the post-loan management of retail loans. The current situation and risks of post-loan management are described; the shortages and development opportunities of post-loan management of commercial bank are pointed out. Based on the series of main problems caused by retail loans management and actual situation of the development of commercial banks, the fourth chapter puts forward some innovative suggestions for post-loan management countermeasures.To strengthen retail credit post-loan management is not only an important content and natural requirement of the credit management of retail credit, but also necessary for the enhancement of retail credit risk control, the improvement the quality of credit assets, the healthy development of credit asset business, and the significant growth of business benefits. Strengthening post-loan management of retail loans and preventing the capability risk and moral risk in credit have become the consensus of the banking industry. To develop appropriate countermeasures and build a comprehensive post-loan management system in a controllable range for reasons causing weak post-loan management is the basic strategy for China’s commercial banks to strengthen retail credit post-loan management.According to the analysis on the post-loan management of China’s commercial banks, the article gives some suggestions:(1) Establish the strategic position of post-loan management of retail loans from the conceptual and institutional aspects. Post-loan management of retail loans is an important part for a commercial bank to fully monitor the risk, and commercial banks should establish the concept of equal importance of post-loan management and pre-loan decision, overcome the tendency of putting management into an unimportant place, carry out post-loan management seriously, properly deal with the contradiction between credit marketing and risk prevention, and promote the steady development of banking business through post-loan management.(2) Strengthen retail loan staff team building. Loan staff must not only master the credit policies, be familiar with the business varieties, and be proficient with a variety of credit procedures, but also grasp the macro industry policies and information, presciently detect and resolve potential risks, and accumulate rich work experience in the process of dealing with customers.(3)Establish a three-dimensional retail credit post-loan management early warning system. Commercial banks should establish a professional post-loan management model, select and allocate post-loan management professionals with experience of credit business from staff of company business, risk management, credit granting and auditing departments to increase the support to credit personnel on the front line, strictly control the appointment of loan staff by standardized management, and carry out systematic training to improve the performance of credit staff and to cultivate post-loan management personnel.(4)Build a full-range retail credit post-loan management inspection system. According to the inherent requirements of a comprehensive post-loan management, loan inspection should consist of on-site inspection and off-site inspection. On-site inspection is the scheduled and unscheduled visits of front-line business departments to clients, keeping abreast of changes of clients, guarantors, collaterals, etc., knowing the asset quality of clients and its change trend, and taking timely measures on clients with potential problems.(5)Establish a scientific retail credit post-loan management analysis system. Retail credit post-loan management analysis system is mainly to achieve two functions:one is to strengthen the function of credit business management system, and the other is to make risk warning through the analysis of loan risk at different times in different industries and the estimation of risk factors and other indicators by loan classification to prepare loan management staff well in advance for risk prevention.
