Research On Optimization Of Coal Logistics Network Of Shanxi Coal Imp. And Exp. Group Co., Ltd.

Abstract:Coal resources, as the strategic energy constituent and basic materials, have non-negligible effect in the social market economy and energy distributions. Therefore, the adjustment and upgrading of the coal logistics structure is not only the need of economic society and the tendency of future development but the realistic needs for coal companies to strongly widen competition channels and constantly promote the improvement of comprehensive ability. Although Shanxi Province, having a large amount of coal resources and products with excellent quality, is recognized as one of the best resource and coal-produced Province, the coal supporting facilities there are not advanced enough, especially the organization structure of logistics, which is not reasonable, making the logistics information lagging and inefficient, thereby affecting directly the healthy development of coal enterprises and slowing the optimization as well as upgrading of the transportation industry structure.In light of the practical difficulties mentioned above, this paper, starting from the logistics network and related theories, describes the definition, development characteristics and taxonomy of coal logistics and its network in detail. According to the survey results and related information, we believe that the current operation pattern of logistics network in Shanxi Coal Group fails to keep pace with time gradually. Therefore, it is necessary to make reformations: cope with the infrastructure network, information integration, organization structure step by step and put forward solutions as well as next operation scheme.After analyzing the necessity to optimize the logistics network, this paper provides some improving measures. Precisely, first the traditional railway transport corridors, road transport channel, multimodal transport channel ought to be optimized. Secondly, the information, organizational and third-part network of coal logistics also need to be optimized. In terms of information network optimization, this paper puts forward the following suggestions:group company coordinates and layouts uniformly; strengthen management and the construction of organizational structure; enhance training and bring in advanced technology platform; enter the market actively and participate in the market competition. As for the optimization of organizational network, determine the responsibilities of each department and subordinate units and implement process reengineering; Set up and improve departments according to the demand; transform from Transportation and Marketing Group function to modern and integrated logistics functions. With regard to third-part logistics network, the current paper proposes that we should organize integrated coal Logistics Company, establish a sense of customer-focused service, carry out industry chain strategy inside the company and formulate development strategy to enhance customers’ value. After raising these projects, this paper also comes up with new logistics integration mode of Shanxi Coal Import&Export Group.To sum up, this paper, taking the comprehensive development of Shanxi Coal Group into account, proposes a more scientific and reasonable project, which integrates effectively the network resources of coal logistics and finally achieves the goal of integration.
