The Analysis And Empirical Research Of Spread Effect And Back-wash Effect Based On The View Of Field Force Model Theory

The imbalance of regional economic development is one of the characteristics ofthe process of economic development, the "growth pole theory" says that: the growthpole does not appear in all localities or departments, but appears in some poles, andthen diffusions outwardly through different channels, thus boosting the whole economicincreased. Growth pole does not only affects the surrounding area by spread effect, butalso affects the surrounding area by back-wash effect, spread effect and back-washeffect are both the basic forms of the regional economic activity. It can provide somereferences for the policy on solving the unbalanced economic development only on thebasis of understanding the mechanism of spread effect and back-wash effect fully.Based on the view of field force model theory, this paper explores the mechanismof spread effect and back-wash effect, summarizes the causes of spread effect andback-wash effect, and verifies the mechanism of spread effect and back-wash effectthrough empirical analysis. Based on this, this paper analyzes the problems of economicdevelopment in Fujian, and then proposes the corresponding management strategies.This paper divides into six chapters, from both theoretical and practical aspects,combined with field force model to in-depth study the spread effect and back-wash effect,as follows:Chapter I Introduction.This chapter introduces the research background, theresearch significance of this paper, and explains the project source, the researchobjectives, research methods, technical line and contents of this paper.Chapter II The summary of revelant research both the domestic and foreign onspread effect and back-wash effect.This chapter reviews the theories about spread effect and back-wash effect in both domestic and foreign, analyzes the results of theoryresearch, and establishes the theoretical basis for this study.Chapter III The empirical analysis and the mechanism of back-wash effect basedon the field force model theory.This chapter introduces the development of field forcemodel theory, and then analyzes the mechanism of back-wash effect based on the viewof field force model theory, and verifies this through empirical analysis finally.Chapter IV The empirical analysis and the mechanism of spread effect based onthe field force model theory.This chapter analyzes the two manners of spread effectfirstly, and concludes that economic development is the driving force of the spread effect;secondly, this chapter analyzes the mechanism of spread effect based on the view offield force model theory; at last, verifies this through empirical analysis.Chapter V The management strategies for economic development in FujianProvince based on the field force model theory analysis.This chapter analyzes theproblems of economic development in Fujian Province: economic develops slowly in thelow potential area, the gap between low potential area and high potential area iswidening. To solve the economic problems for the Fujian Province, we should remainrapid development in the high potential area, and efforts to speed up the economicdevelopment in the low potential area. Therefore, according to the third chapter andChapter IV, which is about the mechanism of spread effect and back-wash effect basedon the field force model, this chapter summarizes the management strategies foreconomic development in Fujian Province from three aspects: improves the environmentcharacteristic value of the cities in the low potential area(E(t)), reduces the psychologicaldistance between low potential area and high potential area(d(t)), and improves thequality of the cities in the high potential area(Q(t)).Chapter VI Conclusion and Academic prospect.This chapter summarizes theconclusions and innovation points of this paper systematically, analyzes the lack ofresearch of this paper and makes the prospects and ideas for future research.
