The Research Of The Location Choice Of Guang Dong’s Outward Foiergn Direct Investment

With the continuous deepening of economic globalization, outward foreign investmentbehavior of enterprises playing in a more and more important role in regional economy. With thecontinuous expansion of China’s total economic output， China’s foreign direct investmentdevelops rapidly both in stock and incremental， and China has become one of the mostimportant outward foreign investment country in the world.In the background of China’s current energy costs and labor costs continuing rising,Guangdong Province is facing the pressure of industrial restructuring. Guangdong enterpriseswhich go out to carry out overseas investment are both characterized by economic developmentin Guangdong and a general trend.Through outward foreign direct investment, Guangdongprovince not only can alleviate the problem of excess production capacity, and further promoteGuangdong’s exports; but also can promote economic structural adjustment and optimization,and improve the comprehensive competitiveness. Therefore, we believe that whether enterprisescan choose the right location for investment activities or not related to the business success offoreign investment and investment level of efficiency. Scholars have done many research in it,but most are from the national level. In this paper, we do the research of he location choice offoreign investment in Guangdong, and it has a certain significance in Guangdong’s outwardforeign investment.This paper takes Guangdong Province as the research object, using empirical analysis,quantitative and qualitative analysis methods to study the location choice of Guangdong’sOutward Foreign direct investment, and make some corresponding policy suggestions. Firstly,this paper makes qualitative analysis of Guangdong’s outward foreign direct investment,including Guangdong’s outward foreign direct investment motives, Guangdong’s outwardforeign direct investment situation, the Guangdong’s outward Foreign Investment Locationlayout characteristics and problems of foreign investment in Guangdong. Afterward, this paperbuild dynamic panel data models and use2003-2012Guangdong Foreign direct investment paneldata to make the quantitative analysis about what is influencing factors of the location choice of Guangdong’s outward foreign direct investment, and then we make some relevantrecommendations.
