A Study Of Influencing Factors On The Location Choice Of China's Outward Foreign Direct Investment Under The Background Of "The Belt And Road"

Since the initiativ of “One Belt and One Road” was put forward in 2013,there has been an upsurge of investment in China,and the scale of direct investment in “The Belt and Road”increased significantly.However,because of the large number of countries and different levels of economic development.Choosing which countries to invest,that is,location choice,has become the primary problem for Chinese enterprises to invest directly in “The Belt and Road”.As a strategic area,ASEAN has attracted more than half of China's investment along“The Belt and Road”.This undoubtedly is necessary for studying influencing factors on the location choice of China's direct investment in ASEAN,and also setting an important benchmark for Chinese enterprises to invest directly in “The Belt and Road” country.This paper takes the initiativ of “The Belt and Road” as the research background,based on the theory of outward foreign direct investment in developing countries,and takes ASEAN,a representative and typical area,as a case study.Firstly,this paper makes a qualitative analysis of the current situation of China's direct investment in ASEAN.On the basis of a comprehensive survey of China's investment scale,investment industry and location distribution,puts forward the existing problems of China's direct investment in ASEAN.Secondly,combining with qualitative and quantitative analysis of the affecting factors on the location choice of China's outward foreign direct investment in ASEAN in terms of economy,politics,resources and social culture.And demonstrating the relevant factors from three different aspects and objectively evaluate the reasonable investment location of Chinese enterprises in ASEAN.Finally,we can draw a conclusion that Chinese enterprises have a rational investment location and suitable investment industries in ASEAN,and put forward targeted suggestions to further expand China's direct investment in ASEAN and even along“The Belt and Road”.The purpose of this paper is to solve the problem of location choice of China's direct investment through the analysis of location factors in ASEAN,and to promote the scale of China's direct investment.The demonstration effect will be formed,which will eventually promote the smooth development of “The Belt and Road”.
