With China’s rapid economic development, deepening of financial reform and incomeincreases, the residents of the banking and financial service needs are becomingincreasingly diversified. Retail banking business has entered a rapid development stage.With the electronic and information technology in a wide range of applications incommercial banks, developing of retail business commercial has a good opportunity and ahuge space. Compared with traditional banking, retail banking in the development processwith its risk diversification, capital consumption is low, customer stability, broad marketspace, and many other unique advantages, has become a domestic commercial banks fornew profit growth point and competing fields.In this paper, combing the development of domestic and foreign scholars on thebanks of the retail business theoretical research, summarizes the concept of retail banking,content, type, characteristics, produce base and trends, analysis of retail banking incommercial banks’ profits in the position the creative process, explore the development ofretail commercial banking business of commercial banks, asset liquidity, risk size, profitmodel and other implications. On this basis, this paper based on the development statusand the internal and external environment for the development of retail business in Bankof Jiang Su, conducted a SWOT analysis to explore the strengths, weaknesses,opportunities and challenges in developing Bank of Jiang Su’s retail business, and explorethe difficulties and obstacles from China’s commercial banking system, financialregulatory system, market structure, the laws and regulations and other aspects. Based onthe development status and the SWOT analysis results, learn from the development ofretail commercial banking business lessons from the SO Strategies, WO Strategies, STStrategies WT analysis and strategic analysis to enhance the four angles of Bank of JiangSu retail business competitive strategy has been designed. Then put forward specificimplementation measures: customer marketing strategy, training strategy, product innovation strategy, channel development and organizational structure optimizationstrategy, so as to develop the retail business of Bank of Jiang Su, to enhancecompetitiveness in the retail business ideas and work targeted policy recommendations.
