With the competitionof companies are increasingly fierce today, team has become abasic work unit of organization change and development.Team behavior is one of the keyfactors of team performance. Backing up behavior, as a typical team behavior highly relatedwith team task, can improve the adaptive ability of the team. It is increasingly valued byresearchers and managers.To the influencing factors of team behavior, group emotion and task interdependencehave not been paid attention enough. Pervious researches of emotionare always conductedfrom a perspective of individual emotion. But for different team, different group emotionalso exist. It has more significant influence on team behaviors than individual emotion.Moreover, because of the work division, different team undertake different job. Taskinterdependence, as a kind of job characteristic, decides the degree of cooperation of teammembers, which could also influence the team behavior. Above all, this article usespsychological experimental methodology to explore the impact of group emotion and taskinterdependence to team backing up behavior, and reveal the mechanism of teamperformance.The samplesof this study are108teams, which include324undergraduates totally.Using2(positive emotion, negative emotion)×2(high task interdependence, low taskinterdependence) between subjects experiment, this article explore the impact of groupemotion and task interdependence to team backing up behavior, and team performance. Theresult indicates:(1) group emotion has a significant positive effect on team backing upbehavior;(2) task interdependence has a significant positive effect on team backing upbehavior;(3)task interdependence moderates the effect of group emotion on team backingup behavior;(4) in low task interdependence group, perceived positive social connectionand team backing up behavior have the chain mediating effects between group emotion andteam performance.
