Present of our country is in the period that the vigorous developmentof industrial construction. The whole country industrial level is closelyrelated to the development of mechanical manufacturing. Thedevelopment of the heavy machinery manufacturing industry is playingan increasingly important role in the whole national economy. NowChina’s heavy machinery industry is in the period of the development ofimport substitution. The national large-scale construction projects alsoshow the tendency of development.And heavy machinery has also ushered in the climax of the secondreplacement. All of these provides growth opportunities and developmentopportunity for heavy machinery enterprises. China’s heavy machinerymanufacturing enterprises are facing many threats while in the face ofconsiderable growth prospects. If the enterprise want to achieve highgrowth and sustainable development in such an environment to have abigger share of the market, Enterprise should treat the currentdevelopment situation with development view and formulate scientific development strategy and the correct development initiatives to enhancethe core competitiveness of enterprises.This study based on the internal and external realities of JiangsuPengsheng Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. The paper put the enterprisedevelopment strategy as the theoretical basis, put the diversity analysis asresearch method, and put the feasible development strategy as theresearch target. Firstly, the paper proposed research background andpurpose by analyzing the development of heavy machinerymanufacturing industry and Jiangsu Pengsheng Heavy Industries Co.,Ltd.it also determined the research directions and ideas of the entire article.Secondly, the five major theories which were used in the article weredescribed. Thirdly, on the basis of the theory introduction, the paperanalyzes the external environment of heavy machinery manufacturingdevelopment by using the PEST analysis, industry environment analysis,and Porter’s five forces model analysis. Fourthly, the paper not onlyanalyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the company but alsoanalyzed the external opportunity and threat, then it carried out theSWOT matrix matching. Fifthly, the paper put the company’s overallstrategy and the competitive strategy as the company’s developmentstrategy. Finally,it put the specific initiatives of the company’s strategicimplementation,such as Optimization of organizational structure, productand technological innovation, the establishment of modern marketing system, financial management strategy, human resources strategy and thestrengthening of information technology. These initiatives ensured aviable and scientific development strategy.For Jiangsu Pengsheng Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., this paper put thegrowth strategy as the company’s strategy and put the four stages ofgrowth strategy. It also proposed differentiation strategy as the and putthe four aspects of competitive strategy. As an applied research paper,this paper want to provide some valuable advice for Pengsheng HeavyIndustries Co., Ltd. through analyzing the development strategy. andprovide some reference for the development of China’s machinerymanufacturing enterprises.
