Agricultural science and technology is the source power of agricultural achievements in China. Relying on it, we can solve the problem of "Agriculture, Rural areas and Peasantry", realize agricultural modernization in northwest China. This paper aims to study the influence that technology diffusion environment applying on farmer’s technology adoption. Thus the contradiction between agricultural technology popularization and farmer’s technology adoption would be fundamentally solved. And this paper also provides policy references for local work. In order to analyze the influence that technology diffusion environment applying on farmers different technology adoption, this dissertation follows the logic of "theoretical construction, empirical analysis, countermeasure and suggestion", takes radiation zone of Yangling, Dingxi and Wuzhong agricultural science and technology park as study area. The main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1) Summarizing the literature on farmer’s technology adoption at home and abroad, then find that micro farmer as the main body of research have become the consensus of scholars. Foreign research starts early, using multi-disciplinary theories and methods, exploring farmer’s technology adoption behavior from different perspective. Studies based on technology diffusion environment in our country are less. There are some problems in present study:environmental elements in the study are single, lack comparative study of different horizontal diffusion areas, as well as lack comparative study between different property of technology. Then establishing the research mentality and content of this paper.(2) Drawing lessons from human-economic geography, behavioral geography, agricultural economics and related discipline theory to define agricultural technology, technology diffusion environment and farmer’s technology adoption behavior. Illustrating the agricultural technology innovation diffusion theory, spatial interaction theory, peasant behavior change theory and public goods theory to build a theoretical framework of empirical analysis of this paper.(3) Building a index system to evaluate the agricultural technology diffusion environment of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia region. Using the method of factor-analysis to calculate factor score and environment score of each county in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia region. Using spatial statistics module of ArcGIS to visual express the county agricultural technology diffusion environment, then generalize the characteristics of technology diffusion environment. Result shows that the agricultural technology diffusion environment of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia region is not well as a whole. High level areas concentrated in the Guanzhong plain, Yinchuan plain and the Hexi corridor. Low level areas concentrated in the mountaineous areas of South-Ningxia, South-Gansu and South-Shaanxi. The factors in forming this pattern include the natural geographical environment, agricultural development foundation, economic development level, degree of agricultural technology input and agricultural modernization, etc. Then combined environment evaluation results with field experience to screen empirical objects.(4) Taking survey data into Logistic binary model to identify factors in diffusion environment that influence farmer’s technology adoption behavior. Then sums up the general law of how the diffusion environment and technical property influence on peasant technology adoption behavior. Result shows that when the same agricultural technology using in different horizontal diffusion environment, the influence factors of farmer’s behavior is different, while when different agricultural technology using in the same horizontal diffusion environment, the influence factors of farmer’s behavior is different, too. The former is because that different technology diffusion environment has different technical potential, and the latter is because that different technical property has different diffusion characteristics.
