Research On The Development Strategies Of Rural Tourism In Yanping District Of Nanping City

As the continuous development of global economy, rural tourism which turned up in 1980’s had been making rapid progress in 1990’s. Rural tourism practitioners all over the world fully explored the local natural scenery, agricultural products, folk culture, life experience etc., in order to meet the needs of travelers. Recent years, with the rapid growth of Chinese economy and living standard, the demands of traveling are increasing, so that rural tourism which is one of the important ways of leisure developed dramatically.The paper mainly presented the background and significance of rural tourism development, and reviewed the theoretical research, domestic and overseas development and basic model of rural tourism. Then the paper summarized and analyzed the current development situation and existing problems of rural tourism in Yanping District of Nanping City, discussed the relationship between rural tourism and local economic development. Taking Gaoping Village Ecological Tourism and Vacation Zone in Nanping for example, the paper finally concluded some policy recommendations for local tourist industry and rural economy, by using SWOT analysis, questionnaire survey, interviewing method and so on.
