Since the United Nations conference on environment and development in 1992, as a market mechanism to promote sustainable forest management, forest certification has made support and recognition of the parties and has been a great development. Aware of the important role of forest certification in sustainable development of forest resources, international market access and competition, and other aspects, the Chinese government began to carry out forest certification. China’s forest certification work started late, but rapid development. As an environmentally responsible development model, forest certification has the relationship in mutual promotion and common development with China’s current ecological civilization construction. As a widely accepted market mechanism by people, forest certification has a wide range of effects such as economic, social and ecological benefits and so on. But considering meeting point between forest certification and ecological civilization construction, this paper analyzes the impact of forest certification from the perspective of ecological awareness and ecological civilization behavior. On the basis of introducing related theories, development survey and explain dialectical relationship of forest certification and ecological civilization, the paper respectively discusses the influence of China forest certification on ecological awareness and ecological civilization behavior. Because certification principles and certification training will help improve the overall internal eco-consciousness; standardize production operations to reduce the extent of ecological damage; encourage enterprises to focus on cleaning up waste; promote enterprise to carry out environmental impact assessments; implement special operating mode, and so on.● For the government, forest certification contributes to the ecological transformation of government philosophy. For example, it can facilitate the development of government forestry policies and regulations, and promote the government to improve green procurement policies. Finally, according to the effect of China’s forest certification on the ecological awareness and ecological behavior, the article proposes some major policy proposals to remedy deficiencies in the certification process in order to improve the influence of the certification, mainly including:strengthen promotion of the certification, increase investment in education, foster domestic certified products market, encourage more enterprises to participate in certification, and increase environmentally friendly infrastructure investment.
